4 Things that Sparked Joy

Check out what sparked joy in my life this week as I make a journey for joy this year.

This year I am on a journey for joy. You can read more about how this journey got started here.

Lacking joy? I’d love for you to join me on the journey for joy?

So, what sparked joy for me this week?

  1. Trips to the park in February. We are still getting unusually warm weather and soaking it up as much as we can. I’ve found that as my kids get out that during the winter once the cabin fever creeps up they are more prone to complain or get too rowdy trying to find insane ways of burning off their energy. With either scenario, I am losing my mind. It was easier when they were babies and toddler, they didn’t seem to notice the weather change as much. Those days are gone! As soon as the temperature is just right I have to get them outside to burn off their energy. This week we are getting lots of it, just in the nick of time to save my sanity.
  2. My new stainless steel 30oz tumbler! As a kidney patient, I find it terribly hard to drink water. It’s always been a huge struggle for me to drink enough water. I also began to notice that refilling my water bottle was starting to slide, even though I enjoyed my essential oils in my water for flavor. So I went to Amazon in search for a large tumbler that I would only need to refill once but one that would also keep my water cold. Thankfully Amazon sells just about anything and they had a bunch to choose from. I decided on pink, naturally, but they have a few colors to chose from. I’m consistently drinking 60-70oz a water a day with this new cup! I’m pretty excited about it!
  3. Watching my kids get excited. Our Big Guy lost another tooth this week and he was SO excited. Every hour he would ask to check his tooth to see if it was ready to come out. He get’s so determined once a tooth is near the end. He wiggles them so much, I’m shocked they don’t fall out in a few days! He was beyond excited about losing his first top tooth, even though it was his fifth tooth coming out. He thinks he looks so cool. I say “welcome to the awkward kid stage”. Ha! I do love his excitement and it rubs off on people. Now it’s time to get used to pirate grin.
  4. Yogi Teas Cinnamon Vanilla Tea! Oh my goodness, I can’t stop sharing about this tea because it tastes so delicious! I love sitting down with a cup of tea these days. I am going to be ordering some of their other flavors because this one has just been so delicious that I need more of it in my life. What’s your favorite tea to drink?
