4 Things that Sparked Joy

Check out what sparked joy in my life this week as I make a journey for joy this year.

This year I am on a journey for joy. You can read more about how this journey got started here.

Lacking joy? I’d love for you to join me on the journey for joy?

So, what sparked joy for me this week?

This week I am dedicating to our family vacation! There were so many things we did and saw that I can’t just have 1 things I’m thankful for.

  1. Family time! Vacation is all about spending time together as a family, creating memories. These are the days that our children will remember when they are adults. It’s so important to make time for vacation, no matter how short or long it is. This is our whole families favorite part about vacation. It’s not all of the attractions that we visit or the long car rides, it’s the time we spend together. It’s the snuggles, kisses, hugs, long mornings, laughter and fun we have together. Vacation sparked that joy in me and my whole family this last week.
  2. The Ark Encounter. The Ark is so much more than you are expecting. It is so much bigger than you could ever imagine in your head. The exhibits are fantastic, the artwork was amazing. You will learn so many answers to your thought questions regarding the Ark and how Noah managed it all. It is definitely worth it!
  3. Cincinnati Zoo. This is the zoo where the gorilla was killed last year. I must say there were a time or two where I felt like my kids could fall into an exhibit, it was a pretty anxiety filled day for me but overall the family enjoyed this zoo more than the Columbus Zoo last year. We were able to ride their train and merry go round as much as we wanted to and we saw a cool 4D show. It was a great day!
  4. Newport Aquarium. We also went back to the Newport Aquarium in Kentucky. This place is super cool! We loved it so much last year that we had to go back again. They have so many neat things for the kids to do and so many marine animals that you can touch. We made so pretty awesome memories here!

It was such a great week! We took a whole day just to relax and swim, we did lots of snuggling and holding hands. We like to relax a lot on vacation so we spend as much time as we can doing that. We were sad to return to reality. But now we get to plan next year’s big adventures!
