This year I am on a journey for joy. You can read more about how this journey got started here.
Lacking joy? I’d love for you to join me on the journey for joy?
So, what sparked joy for me this week?
- My new Pressure Cooker! I have wanted an Instant Pot for such a long time! I could hardly stand it. I chronically forget to thaw meat. You would think that being a SAHM that I would remember to but with insomnia, our mornings are usually off kilter and by the time I remember it’s lunch time or later. My husband is very accustomed to getting the “I forgot to thaw meat again” texts. I knew a pressure cooker would be a huge life saver budget saver!) for us. They are pretty pricey so we never had enough wiggle room to make the purchase. Until I got a bigger check from Young Living that is! So I bought myself one! Young Living for the win! I stalked the Amazon Deals page for a couple of days and could barely contain my excitement when a $200 11-in-1 pressure cooker was only $77 – that’s cheaper than the cheapest Instant Pot brand that is only 7-in-1 functions! I then continued to stalk my tracking number until it arrived at my door. Let me tell you, it has saved us so many times already and cuts cooking time in half. I love that I can saute things first before setting it to pressure cook, making most things a one pot meal. I LOVE it!! It’s totally worth the investment if you’re like me or just want to spend less time in the kitchen.
- Ningxia Red! This is a product from Young Living. It’s a fully loaded antioxidant drink. It supports every system in your body, it gives you natural energy and tastes good. I’ve heard so many people who use Ningxia say that it has boosted their overall health and has given them so much more energy that lasts all day, that they say it’s non-negotiable for them. It’s a must have once you start. So far I am enjoying it! I was able to get a 4 pack with some birthday money from my in-laws. I am so thankful! Check out the benefits below and then sign up here, you can even get a Ningxia Red starter kit from Young Living and get the 24% discount as a wholesale member.
- A trip to the zoo on a beautiful day! We love going to the zoo, it’s even more fun after the long winter stretch. We spent quite awhile there one day this week enjoying the sunshine and outdoors. We have invested in a zoo membership for nearly 6 years now and we still go so much that it’s totally worth every dollar. Plus it’s great exercise for mamas! I just love seeing the smiles on my kid’s faces. It brightens any day.
- Kitchen helpers! Sometimes, well most times, having all 3 kids in the kitchen helping can get a little out of control and messier are made than there would be normally. But I have come to love cooking with my kids. If I can get them a good age-appropriate job they’re not only super helpful, super cute but we do so much more talking and enjoying each other when we are all working alongside each other. I find myself searching for ways to get the kids to have a job while I’m cooking. Baking, now that’s a whole other story!
