Growing in Prayer/ Holiness

Is There Anything Too Hard for God?

Is there anything too hard for God? Do you struggle with being real with God, sharing your heart with Him? If so, here you will find the inspiration you need to break that habit of thinking.

Do you have a friend on this earth that you can be free to tell them everything that is on your heart? Without fear of rejection, ridicule, or criticism? Someone that you can trust completely to keep your words to themselves. Someone who will let you talk and talk and talk? What about someone who can do every last 0ne of these things?

I bet some of us have someone who we can answer yes to one of those questions or even a few of them. But I bet none of us can think of someone who would meet all of them all the time. I know for me, my husband wants to hear my heart and will keep it all to himself but he hasn’t been perfect at not laughing or criticizing something. And at one point or another, he has been known to fall asleep while I am talking to him in bed. Yeah. He’s wonderful but he isn’t perfect and he can’t be all things to me that I need him to be. Only God to be the friend to us who is a yes to every one of those questions.

God is the only one who wants to listen to everything we have to say. God is the only one who we can go to without fear of rejection, ridicule or criticism. God is the only one we can trust completely. God is the only one who can satisfy our soul.

This is why prayer is the heartbeat of God. This is why he wants us to pray when it’s a sacrifice. This is why God wants us to make prayer a priority. This is why God tells us to pray without ceasing, to strive together in prayer.

Prayer matters.

Prayer changes lives and hearts.

Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Is there anything too hard for God? Do you struggle being real with God, sharing your heart with Him? If so, here you will find the inspiration you need to break that habit of thinking.

Are you struggling in your marriage? Does motherhood feel overwhelming? Are you lost family members ridiculing your every decision? Is there a friendship that is stealing your joy? Or a heavy financial burden weighing you down?

There is no need to hold back from the Lord. There is no reason to try and hide what is going on in your life and the emotions that you are feeling. God already knows. He already cares.

Is there anything too hard for God? (Love this song! Listen to it here on YouTube!)

Let’s stop trying to say the perfect prayer. Let’s stop trying to purify ourselves before going to God. He already knows who we are better than we know ourselves.

Can I encourage to just pray? When you feel like you have nothing to add to a situation or you feel like you have no one else to talk too, just pray. Pour out your heart before Him. He is a refuge for us.

He cares and He wants to listen. All night long if He has to.

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. Psalm 62:8

Pray with sincerity.

Your turn! Do you struggle to pour out your heart before God, trusting Him completely with everything that is on your mind? I know I have! Let’s talk in the comments below!

It’s so neat you wrote about this today!! I’ve had this song on my heart all weekend!!! 😊 To share a blessing related to this, Saturday night I was packing for a mission’s trip to the Philippines, and I found some notes from camp a couple years ago. The theme was So Send I You, and I had written down a prayer in my notes from the last message preacher that week. “God I’m scared to go on a missions trip. Please help me and work it out if it’s Your will.” And there I was packing and had been grinning all day, I’m so excited! Then, I was reading over the Sunday School lesson for yesterday and the kid’s verse was, “there is nothing too hard for thee.” (Jer. 32:17) I was so overwhelmed by how good God is and how He can truly work ANYTHING out. 🙂 Thanks for sharing this post. 😘

That is awesome Naomi! What an amazing time to even find that note when you were packing! I remember that camp theme and my husband doing all of the art design. I love that you are seeing God at work with this trip, what a blessing! I hope it is amazing! Will you be seeing the Barans at all?

No, we won’t be in Cebu at all. 🙁 But that is on my bucket list and I hope to visit them and the Lewis’ someday!! 🙂 We’re going to Tagaytay. If you look up Solid Rock BC in Calgary, they have tons of info about what all’s going on over there. It’s incredible! And the whole missions theme at camp truly changed my life. I loved it. 😀

Ana, I love this message! Prayer is one of my favorite things to do. It really is such a blessing and privilege to be able to connect directly to our Creator. I love that I can process with God without hesitation, knowing He hears me and answers me. Linking up with you at Mama Moments Mondays today.

Thank you for this gentle reminder. While I consider myself to have an active, vibrant, fervent prayer life, today I found myself “worrying” more than praying. In my mind I wasn’t REALLY worrying, more like thinking it through. But the thinking it through wouldn’t let leave, so yeah worrying. Have I poured my heart out about it? Not yet but as a result of this post I’ll stop here so I can go pray. Happy to be visiting from Mommy Moments.

Your comment blesses me, I’m so glad to know that it encouraged to you to go to God. Our worrying just drains us of our faith and trust in Him. My Pastor recently preached on that worrying that you feel after you’ve prayed, often times when we pray and then resort to worry again means we need to pray some more and then practice Philippians 4:8 and think on others things purposefully. Hope that helps too 🙂 Have a great night, thanks for sharing your heart today!

Great post! I love that we can go to God as we are and be honest, knowing that he will accept us. I’ve always found it much easier to open up to God than to other people but I still need the reminder to actually take the time to draw close to him. I love the verse from Psalm 62. I love this! Yes, we can (and should) pour out our hearts to God. I find the more I share with Him, the more I feel connected to Him.

You need that conversation for relationship.

Thanks for sharing (and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop).

    Wishing you a lovely weekend.

I agree, the more we talk to Him the closer we are to Him. When we push ourselves away from Him because of sin we usually stop praying immediately. Thanks for hosting!
