5 Things I Am Thankful For

Happy Thanksgiving! Find out what I am thankful for this year!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year! So I am giddy that it finally arrived.

I hope you all had a lovely thanksgiving filled with family, friends and fun! I hope you all took the time to focus on gratitude as you enjoyed the holiday.

Since many of us are probably still recovering from all the food that we consumed last night or are out Black Friday shopping, I wanted to just send out a fun, quick post today.

5 Things I am Thankful For!

My Salvation

The gift of salvation and never ending grace and mercy from the Lord astounds me every day. I hope to never grow cold to the fact the God loved me so much that He gave His son to die for me.

My Sweetheart

He, like the Lord, is never short at extending me grace. He is by far one of the most gracious and kind people I have ever met. He always looks for the best in people and believes the best in people. He loves me when I am a mess and he loves me when I am put together. He loves our children and is an amazing Daddy. He has big dreams and visions and I know that God is going to use him to do something amazing.

My Children

My little ones bring me so much joy. I am so thankful to be a stay at home, homeschooling mom. They are the biggest tool that God has used in my life to grow me as a person. There is nothing like having mini versions of yourself walking around you all day. They pick up the good, the bad and the ugly. And since we want them to pick up the good more often we need to change ourselves to model it for them. I love their hugs, kisses, smiles and laughter!

My Church

I have gone to the same church my entire life. Such a blessing! I have seen church feuds, church splits and deep heartache over a nearly 30 years time. Yet we have always come through, even stronger on the other side. I have seen satan attack so many times and it has been life changing to see God’s protection through it all. The church people who have remained faithful are so closely knit together that we all have become family. It is an amazing blessing to be a member and I couldn’t imagine not attending there and being apart of what God is doing in our community!

God was thinking of me when He created coffee! I love coffee. Pretty simple!

The way to a man’s heart is food, well the way to mine is coffee!

We had a great, quiet Thanksgiving at home. We tried something new this year, a fresh organic turkey-I can’t wait to share that experience with you next week! Having a whole day together as a family is rare for us since we own a business so it is always extra special! I hope you all had a great holiday as well!

Your turn! How was your Thanksgiving? What are you thankful for this year?

Hi Ana! I would say mine are quite similar to yours. I’m so thankful for my salvation, my amazing church, my family, friends and COFFEE! In fact, I’ll probably be grabbing some coffee in a bit. It sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family. All the blessings Ana, I’m visiting from Faith & Fellowship.

I enjoyed reading your list, Ana. So funny as my granddaughter, 7 years old, asked each of us this year what were we thankful for. She went around asking us, writing them down & then in the afternoon went back around telling us all what everyone said 🙂 I am so grateful this year for the way God got us through the last year. He sustained us each step of the way with such faithfulness & mercy. I’, stopping by from Faith Filled Friday this week. May you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It sounds like the Lord was very good to you this last year! Your granddaughter sounds super cute, I can see my Big Guy doing something like that when he is older and writing better 🙂

Hi Ana, it was nice reading your thankful list. I wrote a post last year about 50 things I am grateful for.
    Thank you for sharing Ana.
    Many Blessings to you

Those are 5 great things. I love that the entire month of November helps us reflect on all that we are blessed with. Even in the hard, there is so much to thank God for. Happy to visit today from Holley Gerth.

I agree! The month of November, despite being Fall, is a fun month for gratitude and thanksgiving. It make me handle Fall a fuzz better 😉
