Recently, I’ve come to love podcasts. They are a great way to soak in information while you are doing other things. It’s multitasking at it best! Personally, I love to listen to preaching while showering, working out, cleaning, and cooking. I like to keep my brain active learning something new or soaking in information. I like to listen to things that inspire me or make me think. There is something about motherhood that sometimes makes me feel like I don’t have a brain. Mommy brain is real! I like to do things that make my brain work, even if I can’t remember what I was doing when I was in the middle of doing it. Please tell me I’m not alone!
Podcasts provide personal development on the go.
Are you looking for a new podcast to listen to? Here are some great podcasts that I recommend.
Sally Clarkson covers all that topics that pertain to motherhood and managing our homes. She is a great Titus 2 woman who shares her years of wisdom with us younger women. I have loved every book from Sally that I’ve gotten my hands on and I a few others on my wishlist!
Kristy Clover is so fun to listen to! The joy in her heart drips from every word that she says. She covers a variety of topics for women, mothers, and wives. From her site she says, the podcast that encourages and inspires you to find simple ways to bring more joy into your day. She also hosts a bunch of giveaways that center around her podcast. She’s just so fun, I’d definitely start here if you’re new to podcasts!
MacKenzie Monroe is another fun podcast to listen to. MacKenzie encourages us to be intentional with our memory making and motherhood. She asks her interviewees a bunch of “crunchy” questions at the end of her episodes and it’s interesting to see where people land on the crunchy scale.
Honestly, this is my favorite podcast. Serene and Pearl have such fun voices to listen to (Aussies!) and they’re genuinely funny and not candid. They just blurt out what they’re thinking and that is so me. I love the honest, raw truth and not this edited perfection to come across perfect. Most of their topics do relate to their way of eating but they will have some off the cuff topics here and there. I love the empowerment that they give to women to love themselves and embrace where they are in their weight loss journey. I just love it!
Now, this isn’t a podcast per say and you won’t find Reg listed as a podcast to follow. But I think of listening to him as I do with podcasts. You can download the sermon audio app and search for his name and pick a sermon to listen to. He is the best preacher I’ve heard in many years. I love his style and tell it like it is personality (I gotta thing for these types of people! Ha!). He gently rips your face off with conviction and then gently puts it all back together. He preaches with such power and emotion with lots of humor mixed in. I can listen to 2-3 of his sermons a day. I highly recommend you giving him a chance!
These are all of the podcasts that I have on my phone these days and recommend. I love to listen to women who will help me better myself in my mothering, home management and spiritual life and these ladies (and Reg!) all do that in one way or another. You should give podcasts a shot!
